2. Data processed
When you submit a form, we may process your name, company, email address, telephone number, country or city, subject, message content, the referenced equipment or part, the source URL and a cryptographic hash of the IP address used solely to prevent abuse and spam.
2a. Supplier account data
If you request a supplier account, we also process company details, contact person, country, telephone, website, hashed login credentials, listed inventory, access history and acceptance of marketplace terms. This information is used to validate the company, manage the account, moderate listings, coordinate transactions and calculate commissions where applicable.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Handling enquiries and quotation requests: taking pre-contractual steps at the data subject’s request and, where applicable, consent.
- Managing a commercial or contractual relationship: performance of a contract and compliance with legal obligations.
- Preventing fraud, spam and abusive access: legitimate interest in protecting the website and its users.
Marketing communications unrelated to the initial enquiry will not be sent without a valid legal basis and, where required, prior consent.
